Solid Piece of Equipment
I have been very pleased with this trimmer. It starts easy, has a strong engine, requires very little maintenance, is lightweight, and the line feeds very easily (something that can be a real problem with most trimmers). The oil needs to be added to the machine before using and changed one every year (which is very easy to do). This could be why one reviewer of this item found that their unit melted on first use. Being a 4-cycle engine, it does require oil. I'd strongly recommend this trimmer to anyone who has some serious (or minor) trimming to be done on a regular basis. It's a great all-around option. You will not be disappointed.

Troy-Bilt String trimmer review
On the plus side, plenty of power and starts well. Can trim alot more than just the usual grass. On the minus side, a bit heavy and could use a shoulder strap. It will dig into the ground with its power if one is not careful so you could lose some nice flowers, etc. Ear protection is recommended as its loud enough to bother. The plastic string that came with the trimmer is not separated on the spool. Its a dual string spool so the string has to be split by hand and rewound to the spool. If not, the string will not advance when needed.

this product is the greatest thing since bread and butter. it starts everytime . no mixing gas and oil. not very heavy . can take all the punishment you can give it.great for homeowners or industrial use.

iv had 2 troy bilt string trimmer take a shit on me. i was done with the home grade shit after the 2nd one. i bought the echo and its in a diff leauge of these home grade junk. as shit breaks i replace it with echo stuff. have never been disappointed yet.
